For our selection of typography we choose a variety of fonts from DaFont.com which we liked that were appropriate for our genre of film and represented its atmosphere. We then carried on our target audience to see which font was most favored by them, they then choose one main font for the film title and one for the credits, as these corresponded well together we were satisfied with the choice and will use them both in our opening sequence.
We chose this font for the title because of it's feminine chic element. This would allow it to appeal to our target audience of young females and supports the theme of gender stereotypes occurring throughout the film.
For our production company credits we used a simple, serif font in order to make it easy to read in a shorter space of time and draw the viewer's attention towards the text.
